Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your email and a hashed password (managed by Supabase, our database provider).
• Membership & payments: your membership status and Stripe customer reference. Card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
• Newsletter: your email, if you subscribe.
• Community submissions: recipes and restaurant pins you choose to share (with the handle you provide).
• On your device only: streaks and favourite recipes are stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers (unless you save favourites while logged in).

How we use it

• To run your account and unlock membership features you've paid for.
• To send the newsletter you asked for (unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email).
• To show community content you submitted, after review.
• We don't sell your data, and we don't use third-party advertising trackers.

Who processes it

Supabase (database & login, hosted in the EU/UK region), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (website hosting). Each processes data under their own privacy terms as our processors.

How long we keep it

Account data for as long as your account exists; payment records as long as tax law requires; newsletter emails until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time — email hello@thealmondgirl.com. If you're in the UK/EU you can also complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Cookies

We use only essential storage: your login session and your on-device streak/favourites. No advertising cookies.
